Public Notice: Zoning Board Of Appeals Vacancy

Notice is hereby given that Keene Township is seeking interested and qualified residents to fill a vacancy for an Alternate Member on the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA).

Position Overview:

The ZBA is a quasi-judicial body that hears and decides on variances, administrative appeals, and interpretations of the Keene Township Zoning Ordinance. Alternate members serve a three-year term and are called upon to serve in the absence of a regular member or when a regular member has a conflict of interest.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a qualified elector (registered voter) residing within Keene Township.
  • Must not be an employee or contractor of the Township.
  • Ability to attend meetings (typically scheduled as needed) and participate in training as required by the Township Board.

Interested individuals must submit a completed Application for Committee, PC, ZBA, BOR position, which can be downloaded from the Township website or picked up at the Township Hall.
